This new creation worked well during that big summer swell we had with water temps in the mid 70’s! It is now called the “Butterknife”, with a single wing roundtail and 5 boxes. This lets you ride the board as a tri fin, quad or a twin fin with a small trailing fin. This board is 6′-0 x 20 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ thick, with a slight single concave, running into deep double concaves between the fins. It has a fuller nose and tail, giving it good paddling ability and great turning capabilities. The roundtail makes for smooth cutbacks. This is a must in any quiver. Order it 2-3 inches shorter, while keeping the same thickness as your standard shortboard.
this board looks pretty tight! how do you think it will work in small to mid range surf?
The board was actually meant for small to medium size surf and it rocks! Since it’s narrower than a fish overall, it still fits well into tight pockets, turns on a dime and is really quick down-the-line.
